I came across this information on the ASPCA website, it’s a great resource for pet owners.
In its continuing efforts to keep the public and concerned pet parents up to date on developments in the pet food recall crisis, the ASPCA has created a list of pet foods recalled due to contamination to date, beginning with the nationwide Menu Foods, Inc., recall on March 16. Please note the following:
- Click on the brand names to find out which products have been recalled.
- Not all foods on this list are part of the Menu Foods and other related recalls. Some foods have been recalled due to other contamination, e.g. salmonella. PLEASE READ THE REASON FOR RECALL CAREFULLY.
- New products may be recalled by the U. S. Food & Drug Administration (FDA) or manufacturers at any time, so please check this page frequently for updated information. Please note that the recalled items are listed alphabetically by brand, not in chronological order. Updated information is posted alongside the brand name, and immediate updates are called out in bold.
- The ASPCA is doing its best to keep this list updated, as far as possible, in real time and as new recalls are made public. However, technical and other issues may sometimes result in a delay, so if you have immediate concerns, please call your pet food manufacturer directly. If your pet shows any sign of illness, please contact your veterinarian IMMEDIATELY.
This is a page you’ll want to bookmark for easy reference.
