In light of the events in Toronto I am re-examining my long held views that charities should be totally transparent in all matters including euthanisation rates.
I am quite prepared to be accused of naivety but I have felt that large rescues who do not publish their pts figures are (perhaps unintentionally) concealing the scale of the problem.
However the Toronto affair illustrates that euthanistaion rates, if used to attract funding, can create a conflict of interest with welfare.

Rolo is a chocolate coloured Labrador Retriever aged between 1 1/2 – 2 years old. He is a strong, powerful, playful dog who needs plenty of exercise.
